The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (Or TCG) Refers to the main area of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. It is a card game, usually played by 2 players, in which players use monster cards, spell cards, and trap cards, in order to reduce thier opponents Life Points to 0, therefore winning the duel (Game). According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is the best selling Trading Card Game ever, with 22 billion cards sold as of August 2009

Spell cards are green cards activated from the hand (With the exception of Quick-Play spell cards, which can be activated from the field during the opponents turn if the player wishes).
